Cumbria Speech and Language Consultancy (CSLC) is a new independent speech therapist based in the north east of England. Focussing on work to improve attainment for individual children within schools CSLC were looking for a clean modern brand that represented their practice.
The solution came from a combination of elements, a couple more obvious, but a final slightly humorous nod to the work involved in speech therapy;
One immediately heads to speech bubbles when talking about speech. Reinforced by illustrated books and comics from a young age, speech bubbles say talking. You’ll even see them in learn to read books contained in school libraries.
Speech Therapists are often employed to help individual children to overcome educational issues in schools. Their struggles with language can hold them back both educationally but also socially. Moving children from this place of struggle to a position of happiness and contentment.
Lastly, in a nod to the fast quantities of paperwork a therapist will have to complete in order to evidence their progress and enable the schools to access funding for underachieving pupils. The icons nose loops in like a paperclip, hinting at all of this paperwork.
