East Midlands School of Motoring,(EMSOM) a well established Derby driving school.

Owner Dave and colleague Geoff were looking for a presence on the web to direct potential students to but also a modern looking first impression for internet users.

Thanks to the professionalism and skill of both instructors, much of the driving school’s business came from referrals, but there had been a marked slow down of pupils during the downturn.

After a bad experience with a previous web designer Dave was cautious not to repeat the episode. He was pleased that within a very short timeframe the site was up and running, and that he was able to promote the site on his business cards with clients and indeed began to receive enquiries though the site.

The brief was small, to design a 1 page site, but the client was open to suggestion on how it would look, having no existing brand identity to work with. Kieran Harrod Design and Marketing developed a number of design drafts and a bold and striking solution was chosen.

The shocking blue and pink stands out from the strong black background, which means the site stands alone amongst competitors websites and sets the company apart. EMSOM were so pleased with the look they took the branding developed for the site and printed business cards and POS banners to use at promotional events.
