Trying out the Photosphere feature of the Nexus 4 phone in Belper river gardens this weekend. I’m quite a fan of this little tool, although selecting a good place for a shot is key. Nothing too structural too close. The sunshine helped!

As America sat down to watch the big game, Ad Execs across the globe waited to see the reaction to their expensive spots ($3.8+. There’s both reputation and history riding on these adverts (Apple’s “Big Brother“ advert, aired only once on TV, is considered the all time best) and in recent years activity before the event has stepped up, with teasers and social media campaigns.

Well it has been a busy old August. I’d kinda scheduled in quite a quiet an frugal month in the BIG BUSINESS PLAN. But it was not to be and I’ve been really very busy.

As the tools and systems we use on the internet are getting increasingly powerful. Seen in many sectors, such as Google’s increasingly powerful online browser based office tools; Google Docs (about to become fully integrated into Google Drive). These tools allow you to open and edit Word files in your browser on any computer, tablet or smartphone, anywhere.

I often have fairly long chats with clients, breaking down the information they see on a search engine results page (SERP) on Google. helping them to understand what they see when they submit a search to Google.
I take it for granted these days that I understand what I see, but that’s because I’m in deep. It’s easy for me to start saying things like “you’re position 3 in the natural results” and spouting gibberish about keywords and Google places.

Display images in a live feed using a smartphone, a few apps and a Mac. A couple of people asked me how it was achieved so I thought I’d write a quick post on it. There’s nothing big or clever here, just a few smart apps and a bit of tweaking.

So that lovely lady, the Queen. The one with the posh hats who has been understated, wise and, well, regal for 60 years. As such we’re all going to have a bit of fun at some point this weekend and probably have long ones (unless you work in a shop, where you’ll be working & expecting customers to celebrate by buying stuff).
But this weekend also marks my own little Jubilee of sorts. I guess anniversary is more accurate, but I feel a celebration is in order!

A touch off beat but something I really can’t recommend enough if you’re anywhere near Nottingham before the end of next weekend.
The Lakeside Arts Centre within the University of Nottingham run an annual children’s art festival named the Wheee! Festival.

A new Friday post that should appear updated weekly with some of my latest images taken or uploaded during the last 7 days. Images will be both business based and personal and will hopefully give you an insight into me!

There’s a deadline looming. A pretty big one in the online world. One you may or may not be aware of?
In the internet circles I swim, you’d think the world is about to end.
It was refreshing to work with an experienced, professional graphic designer who quickly understood what we wanted to achieve at Scoops Diner. We provided the bare bones and Kieran fleshed it out to create a spectacular end product design. Aside from the graphic design, I found Kieran to be a warm, genuine, humorous and down to earth chap who pro-actively gave positive and constructive advice on other aspects of our business. I have already and will continue to recommend Kieran to other businesses for his design services work.

On a 600gsm stock my business cards are fabulous, really sturdy and thick, they also have a great feel to the finish. They also feature some of my fave projects to make a pocket portfolio!
When the ReST vulnerability hit the news, I was happy that my hosted websites were already safe.
At some point in the discussion of a new branding project, the client will almost always ask what files they expect to receive. At first, I found this an odd query, although perfectly valid, my assumption was alway that I’d supply every file they’d need, why would I design a logo and do anything less?
